new update for battlelog.

hey everyone I have some update pics for the new battlelog update.

Ok so here is the new look for the Multiplayer tab.

you can see that Dice has added a new section to this tab but has not but the favorites button here. more on this new feature in a sec.

This is a look at the new server browser section.you can see that Dice has added new game mode to filter you searches out.  Conquest Assault Large and Conquest Assault.  this game modes are only playable on the Back to Karkand DLC.

OK here is a look at the new feature in the Multiplayer tab.  this new feature from what I read on the forums is to be a more competitive play style if you will.  has you can see you get to click able buttons   "View Matches" and "create Match"

Here is a look at the View Matches page.  since this is the first day I'm not up to speed an what will be here but my guess is that you sign up for a match then when someone accepts your match you play.  not sure if it is for platoon v platoon either.

This is just a look at the sign up page for the matchs page.

this I think is a little glitch that Dice has I saw this just tinkering around .  if you click the quick match button under the multi-player tab the system will start to find a match for PS3.  i play on PC dice.

here is a little more detail about the news for the patch and Gustav states that there will be a change log posted tomorrow along with the patch download date.

twit from Daniel Matros

Daniel Matros is Global Battlefield Community Manager at DICE

this is very interesting and hoping that it is going to be news tomorrow.  From what I know, the reason why PC has not had the update yet was because DICE and EA needed to get the patch aproved by Sony and Microsoft.  Which in my mind sucks because the PC could have had this patch say two weeks ago.

But keep standing by that good news comes tomorrow.   looking forward to a date to DL the patch and an updated change log for the patch.

lite conversation.

I will start to post some snipits of some twitter feeds that I come accross that I feel interesting.

here is the first one from Demize99 and he is twitting with Don

What I got out of this is that there talking about the buffs to the AA infantry weapons in bf3 (smaw/igla)  anyway.  Demize99 is saying that it will only take 1 round from this weapons to kill an attack aircraft. And that to me means attack helo (cobra/mi28) and jets.

very cool but remember that with this change there is sure to be a reactive change to counter this.

Clues to the New Expansion

hey hey all got this from battlefieldo.com

But here is the article

Recently we've all been getting hyped around the announcement of the next DLC Expansion pack for Battlefield 3. We're pleased to announce that thanks to an anonymous source, we've got some hints to what the new DLC could look like. First off, the name is claimed to be "Close Quarters" and looks as though will include a whole new set of vehicles and weapons. The name gives the impression that it will be more Infantry based.

Here is some code from an apparent private Battlelog server, which only DICE employees are allowed on, showing that two legendary vehicles are about to return to Battlefield 3, either in the next expansion, or one of the future DLC packs. While we can't show the entire screenshot, as it contains proprietary information, we can show you a few hints.

There are also a few weapons we noticed, including the CZ 75 Auto, and the CZ 750 Sniper Rifle.

Part of this code clearly shows a code-name that resembles the UH-60 BlackHawk helicopter, which has been in all of the modern based Battlefield games.

This section screenshot shows another vehicle, hence the lowercase "v". This one appears to be the Linebacker, also known as the Bradley Infantry Vehicle, another vehicle from Battlefield 2. We're really excited to welcome the BlackHawk and Linebacker to Battlefield 3, based on this information. While we can't confirm the validity of this information, hopefully EA / DICE will make an official statement on this DLC in the near future

Get ready for some tight-knit teamwork on intense urban environments.

Ready your flashlights, shotguns, and knives. Battlefield 3 is about to get really intense. Close Quarter combat on tight, infantry based maps.
